Quick Verdict

This is the piece I built the whole bar around, not an afterthought I shoved in a corner. Two zones means my Sauvignon Blanc and my husband’s seltzers stop fighting over one temperature, and the blue LED makes the nook look finished. The shelves feel lighter than I expected, but they held everything I loaded.

Buy if you:

  • Want one fridge that stores wine AND everyday cans at separate temps
  • Are building a built-in bar nook and need a 24-inch footprint to slot in
  • Entertain at home and hate running to the kitchen mid-conversation

I Built A Whole Bar Around This Fridge

I didn’t pick this fridge to fill a gap. I picked it first and built the rest of the bar nook to match it. When you’re renovating a room from scratch, the foundation piece sets the tone, and this EUHOMY 24-inch dual zone wine and beverage refrigerator became that anchor 0:00. You can see the full build and the live price right here.

Here’s the problem it solves. I drink wine. The rest of my house drinks seltzer, kombucha, and whatever sports drink is in rotation that week. One fridge, one temperature, everybody loses. Two zones fixes that without me buying two appliances and giving up two cabinets of wall space.

Two Zones, 88 Cans, 21 Bottles

The top zone runs cooler for wine, the bottom runs colder for cans, and the two never negotiate with each other 0:16. I set each side once on day one and haven’t touched the controls since. In a house with competing drink preferences, that’s the whole argument for spending more than a basic single-zone unit.

The capacity claims are 88 cans and 21 bottles 0:52. Read that as “or,” not “and.” The wire racks set up for cans in one configuration, and the shelves hold bottles in another. You’re choosing how to split the space based on what you actually drink, which for me means more bottle room up top and cans loaded on the wire rack below 0:43. In a 24-inch-wide cabinet, that’s a lot of cold drinks for the footprint.

How It Actually Chills In A Real Bar Nook

The separate controls matter because I never have to choose a compromise temperature that makes the wine too cold and the cans not cold enough. I set each zone on day one and the fridge disappeared into the background, which is exactly what an appliance in a finished entertaining space should do.

The smart features are quiet but real. Auto defrost means I’m not chipping frost off the back wall, and the door lock matters more than I expected with teenagers and their friends treating my bar like a vending machine 1:01. Then there’s the blue LED lighting 1:16. Is it functional? Barely. Does it make the nook look like a finished, intentional space instead of a fridge I parked in a corner? Completely. The glow is half the reason I open it.

For entertaining, the layout just works. Guests grab their own drinks, I top off wine without leaving the room, and nobody’s trekking to the kitchen mid-story. That’s the entire point of building a bar instead of just owning bottles.

The Shelves Feel Thinner Than They Look

The shelves are the one thing I want you to go in clear-eyed about. When I did the sturdiness test 0:30, the wire racks and shelving felt lighter and more flexible in the hand than the glass-and-steel exterior had me expecting. My first reaction was a little “hmm.”

Here’s the part that matters: they performed anyway. Loaded with bottles and a full wire rack of cans, nothing sagged, nothing bowed, nothing dumped my Pinot onto the floor. So the gap is between how they feel when you wiggle one empty and how they behave when they’re doing their job. If you’re someone who needs heavy-gauge metal that feels indestructible in your hands, this’ll bug you. If you care about whether it holds the drinks, it does. I’d still set the bottles down gently rather than slamming them in.

Who This Fridge Is Right For

This is for the woman building the entertaining space she’s wanted for a decade. Kids are moving out, the house is shifting from chaos-management mode to “I’d actually like to host adults” mode, and you want a spot that feels grown-up. That’s exactly where I am, and this fridge fits that pivot.

It’s also for the small-space builder. A 24-inch width slots into a built-in run, under a counter, or into a dedicated bar nook without eating the whole wall. If you’re doing a DIY renovation and want a foundation piece that does two jobs in one body, this is a clean starting point. You can check current pricing here while you plan your layout.

Dual Zone Versus Two Separate Fridges

The real cross-shop here is one dual zone unit versus a separate wine fridge plus a separate beverage fridge. Two units give you more total capacity and zero compromise on either side. That’s the win for the alternative, and I won’t pretend otherwise.

But two units also means twice the width, twice the footprint, and twice the visual clutter in a bar nook that’s supposed to look intentional. For a 24-inch slot in a built-in, the single dual zone body wins on space and looks. If you’ve got a wall to spare and you collect wine seriously, go two fridges. If you’re building a tidy entertaining corner, this is the smarter call.

What I’d Tell You Before You Order

Measure your nook before you fall in love with the glow. The 24-inch width needs real clearance, and built-ins are unforgiving if you’re off by an inch. Plan ventilation around it too, the way you would any compressor appliance.

Decide your can-versus-bottle split before you load it, not after. The wire rack setup for cans and the shelf setup for bottles are different configurations, so think through your actual drinking habits first. And go easy on the shelves when you’re loading. They hold fine, but they’re not the heavy-gauge racks the exterior implies, so treat them with a little respect and they’ll be fine for the long haul.

Pros

  • True dual zones with separate controls, wine and beverages each get their own temperature
  • Generous capacity for the footprint: up to 88 cans or 21 bottles in a 24-inch body
  • Blue LED interior lighting makes a bar nook look finished, not improvised
  • Auto defrost and a door lock are genuinely useful for a busy household
  • Slots cleanly into a built-in bar build as a foundation piece

Cons

  • Shelves and wire racks feel lighter and more flexible than the glass-and-steel exterior suggests
  • The 88 cans and 21 bottles are an “either/or” split, not a simultaneous total
  • The 24-inch width needs real clearance and won’t squeeze into a tight gap

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this EUHOMY fridge be built in or does it need to freestanding?

I used it as the anchor of a built-in bar nook, so it works in a cabinet run. Like any compressor appliance, plan for ventilation around it rather than sealing it airtight. Measure the 24-inch width and your clearances before you commit to a built-in slot.

Does the door lock with a key?

Yes, it has a door lock, which is the feature I didn’t know I needed until teenagers and their friends discovered the bar. It keeps the wine zone off-limits when you want it to be. Handy for any household where the contents aren’t meant for everyone.

How loud is it running in a living space?

It’s a compressor unit, so there’s a low hum when the room goes quiet, audible if you’re standing next to it at midnight but not across the room during a conversation. I’ve never had a guest notice it or comment on it, which is the real bar for an entertaining space.

Do the two zones really hold different temperatures?

Yes, the top and bottom have separate controls, so I run wine cooler and cans colder at the same time. That’s the entire reason to buy a dual zone unit over a single-temperature one. Set each side once and leave it.

Can I turn off the blue LED light?

The blue LED is part of the interior lighting and it’s a styling feature more than a functional one. It looks great glowing through the glass door at night. If you’re sensitive to colored light in a dim room, that’s worth knowing before you pick your bar spot.

How do I clean it without harming the shelves?

Wipe the interior and racks with a soft cloth and mild cleaner, and handle the shelves gently since they’re lighter than they look. Auto defrost means you won’t be scraping ice buildup off the back wall. Pull the wire rack out carefully rather than forcing it.

Will it fit standard wine bottles and tall cans together?

It handles standard wine bottles on the shelves and cans on the wire rack, but you configure the space for one job at a time per zone. Bulky or oversized bottles eat more room than the 21-bottle claim assumes. Plan your split around the drinks you actually keep on hand.

Is this enough fridge for regular hosting, or just occasional?

For a couple hosting small to medium gatherings, the capacity covers a night of wine and beverages without a kitchen run. For big parties of a dozen-plus thirsty guests, you’ll be restocking mid-event. It’s a starter and everyday piece, not a commercial back-bar.

What happens to the temperature if the power goes out?

Like any fridge, it’ll hold cold for a while if you keep the door shut, then drift to room temperature without power. There’s no battery backup on a unit like this. Keep the glass door closed during an outage and your bottles will ride it out better.

4.3/5
Final Rating
Loses half a star for shelves that feel thinner than the polished exterior promises, even though they held everything I loaded. Skip it if you collect wine seriously and have a wall to spare for two dedicated fridges. Heavier-gauge racks and a true simultaneous can-plus-bottle count would push this to a five for a built-in bar build.
